said that even if the Kannada actress is released on bail, she will not be able to leave the country.
Earlier, on March 3, Ranya Rao was arrested with gold worth Rs 12 crore from Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru. Later, Rs 2.67 crore and gold worth over Rs 2 crore were recovered from her house. The actress could not provide any receipt or source of all this money and gold.
In this incident, the Dubai Customs
Department said that she had bought gold from Dubai in November and December last year. She wanted to take that gold to Geneva but returned to India. Based on the reason for her repeated trips to Dubai, the police are certain that the Kannada actress had to go there so many times to smuggle gold . After her arrest, the actress was also accused of not cooperating.
