Aishwarya arrives on the red carpet at the Cannes Film carpet in royal attire

Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan once again grabbed attention

on the red carpet of the Cannes

Film Festival. Although she has been a regular presence on this international stage since 2002, this time her outfit was completely exceptional. After 23 years, she returned to the Banarasi saree, that too in a wonderful look wrapped in royal jewelry.

The saree was specially designed for Aishwarya by renowned couturier Manish Malhotra. The actress wore a hand-woven 'Kardwa' Banarasi saree, which is made using the most intricate weaving technique of Banarasi.

The lace of this saree is woven with

silver and rose gold threads, with delicate Zardosi work on it. It was accompanied by a milky-white transparent tissue veil to add drama to the outfit.

Not only the saree, but the 500-carat Mozambique ruby necklace around Aishwarya's neck was a special center of attraction. This type of ruby is very rare in the market and each carat costs between 20,000 and 1 lakh taka. As a result, the price of these ruby necklaces alone is worth several crores of taka. She was accompanied by large diamond jewelry and ruby rings on her hands.

Along with Chuni's jewellery,

the gold used in her outfit was also 18 carat. At the current market rate, 18 carat gold (per 10 grams) costs around Rs 71,000. The estimated value of Aishwarya's jewellery and the gold used in her saree could exceed several crores of rupees.

It is estimated that the total cost of Aishwarya's red carpet outfit, including the saree, tissue veil, 500-carat emerald necklace, diamonds, and 18-carat gold, is close to several hundred crores of taka.

It's not just fashion, but a beautiful blend of Indian tradition and luxury. The ' Miss World ' title-winning actress showcased Indian culture with glamour and pride in the world court .
