Hasnat's message about seat sharing with BNP

Hasnat Abdullah, the party's chief organizer for the southern region

has given a clear message that the National

Citizens Party (NCP) is not making any seat-sharing agreement with the BNP in the upcoming elections.

Hasnat Abdullah

He made this known in a long post on Facebook on Saturday (May 31).

In the post, Hasnat Abdullah said, "Recently, we noticed that a party leader commented on an online talk show that the NCP had conducted seat negotiations with the BNP behind the scenes. We hypothetically assumed that seat negotiations had taken place behind the scenes, an understanding had been reached, then you will see that everyone would agree to hold elections in September, not December."

Hasnat said that the demand for seat sharing is completely baseless, saying, "We would like to say, while maintaining our respect and cordial relations with the mentioned politician, that the demand for a seat-sharing agreement with BNP or any other party is completely baseless. NCP has not entered into any seat-sharing negotiations with any party. Therefore, the statement of that respected politician is untrue and misleading. As a party, NCP is working with organizational expansion across the country as its main goal."

Noting that the NCPO is also seeking a

roadmap for justice, reforms and elections, Hasnat said, "There is an attempt to create a baseless impression about the NCP that the NCP wants to postpone the elections for the sake of party consolidation. Since its inception, the NCP has been seeking a roadmap for justice, reforms and elections. The NCP has said that since the people's voting rights were not implemented in the fake elections during the Awami League era; therefore, the upcoming elections must be free, fair and impartial so that the people can exercise their voting rights. The necessary level playing field must be ensured for a free, fair and impartial election. Administrative reforms must be completed. In addition, the July Declaration promised by the current interim government must be issued."

End of status He further said,

"The NCP hopes that the democratic transition of the Bangladesh state will take place by creating an environment for meaningful and fair elections through fundamental reforms."

Hasnat Abdullah also called on all parties concerned to avoid confusion and remain united on the issue of justice , reform, and the election roadmap .
