How are GM Quaders still roaming around in public, asks Sargis

Sarjis Alam, the chief organizer of the Jatiya Nagorik Party (NCP) in the

northern region, has called the Jatiya

Party an ally of the Awami League and an opportunistic hypocrite. Sarjis also called for resistance to the Jatiya Party.

Natural Sarjis

He said that the Jatiya Party has taken all kinds of privileges from the opposition and given the legitimacy of the government party to the Awami League.

Sarjis Alam made these remarks at a street meeting at the Mission intersection in the district town on Thursday (May 29) around 10 pm after holding a street meeting and distributing leaflets in five upazilas of Lalmonirhat.

Sarjis Alam said, 'One of the biggest hypocrites of the Jatiya Party is GM Quader. This GM Quader would go to India 15 to 20 days before the elections, negotiate for power, negotiate for money. When he came to Bangladesh, he would become as quiet as a cat, elections would be held, the Jatiya Party would be the opposition party in the dummy elections, and they would support the Awami League as the government party.'

He said, "How are these

GM Quaders still roaming around in public? This Jatiya Party, this dummy Awami League, how are they still out there?"

Calling for an end to dishonest earnings, NCP leader Sarjis said in his speech, "You earn lakhs of taka, crores of taka dishonestly in various ways. Later you see that your child can no longer study. He has to pay 50 thousand taka per month for his education in this medium, in that medium, and he doesn't pass even that. You will see that a rickshaw puller uncle doesn't have to go to the hospital even once a month, doesn't have to have his whole body checked up even once a year. And if you feel a noise in your stomach, you have to go to Singapore for treatment. This mental turmoil is much more than the mental peace of a rickshaw puller uncle."

Earlier, at around 8:45 pm yesterday,

the house of Jatiya Party Chairman GM Quader in Senpara, Rangpur City was attacked. The attackers smashed the windows of GM Quader's house, The Sky View, and set a motorcycle on fire. Jatiya Party co-chairman and former mayor of Rangpur City Corporation, Mostafizur Rahman, alleged that leaders and activists of the NCP and the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement were involved in the attack.
