Council Member Abdul Hannan
Masud has expressed regret over the release of three people detained at the police station on charges of creating a mob.
Apology Hannan Masood
In written and oral responses to the show cause notice sent by the NCP, he expressed a firm commitment that such mistakes will not be repeated in the future.
This information was given in a statement sent by NCP Joint Member Secretary Saleh Uddin Sifat on Thursday (May 29).
The notice said that the show cause notice was withdrawn as per the decision of the political council as it was evident from the evidence that he was not involved in the activities of the people detained at the police station.
The NCP issued a show cause
notice to Masood on May 21. A group of youths in the name of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement created a 'mob' (chaos) to arrest a businessman in the capital's Dhanmondi area, even though he had no case against him.
However, the police did not arrest
the businessman. They took the three youths who formed the mob to the police station. After taking these three youths to the police station, Abdul Hannan Masud went there yesterday afternoon .
