'Samadhan Services Limited' to provide cashless digital wallet or e-wallet technology services.
Digital wallet licenseOn Monday (June 2), the Payment Systems Department (PSD) of Bangladesh Bank issued instructions in this regard.
It said that under the authority
of Section 5(4) of the Payment and Settlement Systems Act, 2024, Bangladesh Bank has licensed 'Samadhan Services Limited' as a payment service provider to provide e-wallet services within the country subject to PSD and ADC&L (Samadhan) conditions from June 2, 2025.
The central bank has issued
instructions in this regard and sent them to the managing directors and chief executive officers of all scheduled banks, mobile financial services providers, payment system operators and payment service providers operating in the country.
