Festival allowance for MPO-affiliated teachers: Updated information and decision
Khandaker Azizur Rahman, Senior System Analyst at the EMIS Cell of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHHE), said on Tuesday (May 27) that the Ministry of Education has received the approval of the Finance Ministry to approve the festival allowance. In his words, “The Ministry of Education is expected to issue the GO today (Tuesday). Once the GO is issued, the festival allowance proposal will be sent on Wednesday.”

Once this allowance is sent,

it will be included in the iBas++ platform, through which the money will be deposited directly into the accounts of teachers and employees.

How much has the festival allowance increased? What are the conditions?
On Monday (May 26), the Finance Ministry's formulation wing released a consent letter, which said that the festival allowance of teachers under MPO was previously 25 percent of the basic salary of the government share. However, according to the new decision, it has been increased to 50 percent. However, this benefit is applicable only to teachers. The festival allowance of employees has not been increased.

The account number must be provided correctly.
Festival allowance must be applied for within the specified time period.
