Education has issued instructions

to recite the oath in all educational institutions of the country. The instructions were given in a notification on Wednesday.

The notification states that with the aim of establishing an equal Bangladesh, a request has been made to have the following guiding 'oath' recited in daily assemblies in all educational institutions of the country to instill patriotism among students in educational institutions.

The oath mentioned in the notification

is, 'I swear that I will always devote myself to the service of the people. I will be loyal to the country. I will always strive to maintain the unity and solidarity of the country. I will not commit injustice and corruption and will not tolerate injustice and corruption. O Almighty Allah/Great Creator, give me strength so that I can serve Bangladesh and build Bangladesh as an ideal, non-discriminatory and strong state. Amen.'

The Ministry of Education said the order was issued in the public interest.
