MPO update

He made these remarks to the media in the wake of the recent teachers' movement.

The DG of Maushir said that before the start of the Eid vacation, teachers and employees will receive their May salary and festival allowance (bonus). They may not receive the two salaries and bonuses together. The bonus may be deducted first. Then they will receive their salary.

Meanwhile, the Finance Ministry

has approved a proposal to increase the Eid bonus for teachers under MPO. As a result, teachers will receive a bonus of 50 percent of their basic salary from the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha. While employees will receive the same bonus as before.

It is known that government officials and employees receive their salaries and allowances through EFT. However, although the salaries and allowances of MPO-listed teachers and employees working in private educational institutions are deducted from the government treasury, they are deducted through the 'analog' method through 8 state-owned banks. Teachers had to face various hardships to withdraw this money.

In view of this, the Ministry of Education

announced on October 5, World Teachers' Day, that private teachers would be paid the MPO salary and allowances at EFT.
