ARY News reported this in a report on Wednesday (June 4).

The meeting was held as part of Pakistan's diplomatic initiative in the context of recent Indian military activity and increased regional tensions.

Bilawal Bhutto handed over a letter written by the Prime Minister of Pakistan to the UN Secretary-General at the meeting. He also praised the Secretary-General's role in emphasizing restraint, dialogue and diplomacy.

Bilawal briefed the Secretary-General on Pakistan's position following the attack in Pahalgam on April 22. He stressed that the Indian side's accusations of blaming Pakistan for the incident without evidence and a credible investigation are completely baseless and unacceptable.

Bilawal also said that India's

unilateral military actions, including attacks on civilians, deaths, damage to infrastructure, and suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty, risk destabilizing the entire region.

As a former foreign minister of Pakistan, Bilawal highlighted his country's responsible, restrained and mature stance in this situation. He said that Pakistan is committed to all principles, including the right to self-defense, as enshrined in international law and the UN Charter.

He warned that India is

creating a major conflict situation in South Asia through unilateral use of force, a culture of impunity, and the establishment of a new normal, which is extremely dangerous for the nuclear-armed region.
