68 students from Pabna made

Students from Chatmohar Upazila of Pabna have

set a rare record. For the first time,

about 68 students from different areas of the upazila have got the opportunity to get admission in renowned educational institutions of the country by submitting their merit in the admission test. Some to BUET, some to RUET, some to various medical colleges, some to Dhaka University, some to Chittagong University, and some to all the renowned educational institutions of the country.

On Tuesday afternoon, the upazila administration honored more than fifty such meritorious students by awarding them crests for the first time.

The Upazila Parishad hall was packed to the brim on Tuesday afternoon as students reminisced about their school days.

At the reception organized by the upazila administration, parents wept over their children's success. And the younger students of various schools and colleges in the upazila were able to hear the success stories of their elders and witness such a joyful moment.

Teachers, students, guardians and the conscious society have applauded the initiative of the Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO). UNO Musa Naser Chowdhury is receiving high praise.

Musa Naser Chowdhury said,

"It is truly rare that so many students from one upazila have got the opportunity to get admission in all the renowned universities of the country. Even if it is a small thing, I have tried to recognize the meritorious students. I also liked the way the younger students of various educational institutions of the upazila were present and excited to hear such success stories of their elders."

The reception held under the chairmanship

of the Upazila Executive Officer and moderated by Upazila Food Controller Ainin Afroz was addressed by Assistant Superintendent of Police (Chatmohar Circle) Arjuma Akhter, Upazila Education Officer Abdul Gani, Principal of Chatmohar Women's Degree College Sharif Mahmud Sarkar Sanju, meritorious students Nusrat Jahan Panna, Rakib Hasan, Shahriar Tanvir Shobhan and others. Students, guardians, teachers, journalists and other dignitaries were present at the event.
