Some historical places in Medina

Medina is the symbol of the deepest love of the

believer's heart. Here lies the beloved

Prophet Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). Because of him, this city has become the Medina of love, the Medina of life. Every alley of Medina, every speck of dust seems to be filled with the memory of the Prophet. The fragrance of the Prophet is mixed in the air of this city. Which brings peace and joy to the hearts of believers.

Allah Almighty has addressed this holy land by numerous names in the Holy Quran. 'Ar-Dullah' means the land of Allah, 'Ar-Dul-Hijr' means the land of migration.

These names are a testament to the dignity and significance of Medina. There is no other city in the world with so many names as Medina Munawara. Although a visit to Medina is not obligatory as a pillar of Hajj, the deep love of a believer for Medina makes him passionate about the pilgrimage, even to the point of becoming a madman. Throughout the ages, many of the beloved Prophet's (PBUH) followers have left their mark on this love.

Today we will learn about some of the historical places in Medina:

Prophet's Mosque

'Masjid-e-Nabawi' means the Prophet's Mosque. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) built a mosque here after migrating from Mecca to Medina.

Its foundation was made of stone, its walls were made of bricks, its pillars were made of palm tree trunks, and its roof was made of palm leaves. Currently, inside this mosque, there is a green dome along the Rawza, Riazul Jannat, Mimbarunnabi, Mihrabunnabi, Mihrab-e-Tahajjud, and Ashab-e-Suffa.

After the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), this mosque was renovated over the years. So far, 9 people have been listed in the list of people who built and renovated it, including the Prophet himself. Currently, it can accommodate about 1 million worshippers at a time.

Riazul Jannat

It is located in the Prophet's Mosque. The space between the Prophet's (peace be upon him) Rawza Mubarak and the pulpit is the 'Riyazul Jannat' (Garden of Paradise). It is currently covered with a white carpet with a green design.

There are 7 pillars or pillars in the 'Riyazul Jannat' section, which are called 'Pillars of Mercy'. Namely: 1. Pillar of the Body, 2. Pillar of Rahs or Pillar of Ali, 3. Pillar of Ufud, 4. Pillar of Abu Lubaba or Pillar of Repentance, 5. Pillar of Aisha or Pillar of Rkuah, 6. Pillar of Mukhallaqah or Pillar of Hannanah, 7. Pillar of Jibril.

If it is not a makruh time and it is possible without causing any harm to anyone, it is highly virtuous to perform voluntary prayers alongside these.
