How much does a team receive

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has paid ticket revenue dividends

to the teams of the Bangladesh Premier League

(BPL). The board has officially announced how much money the franchises that have fully or partially paid the salaries and related expenses of their players and staff will receive as dividends from the BCB.

Among them, champion Fortune Barisal is getting the full 5.5 million taka of ticket sales dividends as they have paid all their dues. On the other hand, the board will get the money back from Durbar Rajshahi, who are in the final stages of evading the remuneration of players and staff in the BPL.

Chittagong Kings, the finalists of the last edition of the BPL, also made headlines for not paying their players and brand ambassadors. They were supposed to get Tk 2.5 crore from the BCB in prize money and ticket dividends. However, the BCB had to pay Tk 1.5 crore towards the team's hotel bill and Tk 8.775 lakh in the first installment for players' salaries.

Besides, BCB owes another Tk 5.236

million in franchise fee and Tk 5.236 million in player salaries. After keeping that money for themselves, Chittagong is going to get Tk 3.488 million.

Meanwhile, Rangpur Riders are also not getting the full amount they are owed as they owe Tk 50 lakh as franchise fee. Although they were supposed to get a total of Tk 95 lakh, they are getting Tk 45 lakh after settling all the accounts.

Besides, Khulna Tigers were supposed to receive a total of Tk 1.5 crore, but after deducting Tk 2.5 million in franchise fee and Tk 4.8 million in salary, they will receive Tk 4.2 million.

Dhaka Capitals' salary arrears are 4.5 million,

which is the amount they are supposed to receive for tickets. Therefore, they have no debt or dues.

Sylhet Strikers and Durbar Rajshahi will not get any dividends, on the contrary, BCB will get money from them. Although Sylhet was supposed to get 4.5 million taka from ticket sales, they did not pay 1.5 million taka as franchise fee and 2.9 million taka as remuneration. So now they have to pay 9.5 million taka to the board.

Rajshahi was supposed to receive 4.5 million taka from ticket dividends. However, the players are still owed 5.4 million taka, so the board will instead receive 9.9 million taka.
