Pallibidyut area of Kaliakoir upazila
of Gazipur on the Dhaka-Tangail highway. The incident took place at 4 pm on Wednesday. This caused a long traffic jam on the highway.
According to local residents and fire brigade sources, a mini truck carrying cows from Rangpur went to Dhaka. After dropping the cows in Dhaka, it was heading back towards Rangpur with several passengers. On the way, the truck reached Chandra Rural Electricity Area of Kaliakoir Upazila of Gazipur and got stuck in a traffic jam. At that time, the truck's engine suddenly caught fire due to gas leakage under the truck.

truck driver and assistants who were in the back quickly got out and saved their lives. Within moments, the fire started burning. Upon receiving the information, a unit of the Kaliakoir fire brigade brought the fire under control at the scene after half an hour of effort. At this time, a long traffic jam was created on both sides of the Dhaka-Tangail highway.
Kaliakair Fire Station Officer Md. Iftekhar Raihan said it is believed that the fire broke out due to gas leakage under the mini truck where it was parked during the traffic jam. The fire was brought under control after half an hour of efforts.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) Saugatul Alam said that a fire in a truck has caused a long traffic jam in the Chandra Pallibidyut area of the Dhaka-Tangail highway. The fire has been brought under control and efforts are underway to control the traffic jam.
