48th BCS notification published,

Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) has published

the notification for the 48th BCS (Special)

examination. This information was given in a press release on Thursday.

Through this BCS, a total of 3,000 doctors, including 2,700 assistant surgeons and 300 assistant dental surgeons, will be recruited in the health cadre.

A press release from the commission said that online applications will be accepted from June 1 and will continue until June 25.

Candidates will have to fill the

application form and submit the prescribed fee by visiting http://bpsc.teletalk.com.bd/ . The fee must be paid within 72 hours of submitting the application form.

The notification further stated that the MCQ-based preliminary examination may be held in the second week of July. The date and time of the examination will be announced later.

The Ministry of Public Administration recently issued a notification regarding the distribution and syllabus of the 48th Special BCS Examination.

This exam will be of a total of 300 marks. Out of this, 200 marks will be in MCQ format. And the remaining 100 marks will be for the oral exam. To pass the oral exam, the candidate will have to get a minimum of 50 marks.

The candidate will take the exam

for 100 marks on the subject for which he/she will appear and the remaining 100 marks will be on general subjects. The 100 marks in general subjects will be distributed as follows: 20 marks in Bengali, 20 marks in English, 20 marks in Bangladesh Affairs, 20 marks in International Affairs, 10 marks in Mathematical Reasoning and 10 marks in Mental Ability. The total time for this exam will be two hours.

1 mark will be given for each correct answer to each MCQ question and 0.50 marks will be deducted for an incorrect answer.
