Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Dhaka Metropolitan North Propaganda and Media Secretary and Jamaat-nominated candidate for Brahmanbaria-4 constituency Md. Ataur Rahman Sarkar said that there is no alternative to honest, competent, efficient, patriotic and God-fearing leadership to transform Kasba-Akhaura Upazila, a pioneer in the fields of education, literature and culture and the birthplace of many great people, into a prosperous upazila free from terrorism, extortion and drugs. Jamaat has presented such leadership before the nation.

He made these remarks as the chief guest at a meeting of the constituency management committee organized by Jamaat-e-Islami Brahmanbaria-4 (Kasba-Akhaura Upazila) on Thursday morning.

At that time, he also said, the road from B-Baria to Kasba via Akhaura is full of potholes today. As the road has not been repaired for a long time, the people of this area are facing indescribable suffering. He urged the interim government to take necessary measures to complete the repair work as soon as possible.

The program was presided over by Brahmanbaria-4 constituency director and district Jamaat social welfare secretary Abul Basar Bhuiyan at the Dharkhar Union Office in Akhaura Upazila. Other speakers included constituency committee member secretary, Kasba Upazila Jamaat Nayeb Ameer Maulana Shibli Nomani, Akhaura Upazila Ameer Iqbal Hossain Bhuiyan, Secretary Borhan Uddin Khan, Kasba Municipality Ameer Harun Or Rashid, Secretary Mizanur Rahman, Kasba Upazila Secretary Golam Sarwar, and others.

Members of the election management committee were present at the meeting. Eid reunion and mass communication programs were finalized in various unions of Kasba-Akhaura upazila on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.
