Test Championship's best XI revealed

Cricket Australia has announced its preferred 'Team

of the Tournament' ahead of the

World Test Championship 2023–25 final. According to them, the players who made it to this XI were selected not only on the number of runs or wickets, but also on their consistent performances.

"This best XI has been selected based on consistent performances at home and abroad over the two-year period. It is not based solely on runs or wickets," Cricket Australia said in a statement.

The third edition of the World Test Championship has seen some great matches. It was filled with packed stands, intense competition and great individual performances. Now Australia and South Africa are gearing up for the final. The final will be held at the historic Lord's in England on June 11.

XI has India's Yashavi Jaiswal and Australia's Usman Khawaja as openers. New Zealand's Kane Williamson is at number three, and England's Joe Root and Harry Brook are at number four and five.

Sri Lanka's Kamindu Mendis is at number six, Australia's wicketkeeper Alex Carey is at number seven. Pat Cummins has been named as the captain. India's Jasprit Bumrah, New Zealand's Matt Henry and Pakistan's Noman Ali are in the bowling department. South Africa's Kagiso Rabada has been named as the twelfth player in the team.
