20,000 workers ready, two Dhaka

cities want to remove Qurbani waste within a day

Corporations have announced that they will remove the waste of sacrificial animals on a daily basis. For this, 20,000 workers have been made ready in the two cities.

South City Administrator Shahjahan Mia said, "Our waste management work will start from the afternoon of Eid. We hope to fulfill our commitment - we will clean up the Qurbani waste within 12 hours."

We have prepared about 10,000 workers for cleaning this garbage. The required number of vehicles of the City Corporation are ready.

Administrator Shahjahan made these remarks after visiting the National Eidgah on Thursday morning.

He said, "At the same time,

we have placed requisitions with other government agencies - if more vehicles are needed, we will take them."

We have also involved private organizations that collect garbage from homes in this removal work. So, we have no shortage of preparation.

Shahjahan said, "We have called on city residents to sacrifice one place so that our garbage collection can be facilitated."

North City Administrator Mohammad Ejaz

visited the Amin Bazar landfill on Wednesday and said that the city will be kept clean by removing the day's waste during Eid. About 10,000 employees of the organization will participate in the cleaning program for 3 days of Eid.
