people can participate in it at once.The main congregation will be held at 7:30 am on Saturday at the National Eidgah ground on the Supreme Court premises. Mufti Mohammad Abdul Malek, Khatib of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, will lead the congregation.
However, in case of adverse weather conditions, arrangements have been made for the main congregation at 8 am at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, said Dhaka South City Corporation Administrator Shahjahan Mia.
After visiting the National
Eidgah on Thursday morning, he presented various aspects of the preparations to reporters.
Shahjahan Mia said, "We have completed all the preparations for the Eid congregation at the National Eidgah. Since the rainy season is underway, the weather can get bad at any time. We have completed the preparations keeping that in mind."
He said, "To avoid any inconvenience,
tarpaulin has been placed over the awning and the drainage system here is very good. There is no possibility of water accumulation. Therefore, the devotees can come here and offer prayers without any hindrance."
