A complaint has been filed at the police station on

Wednesday regarding the encroachment

of a widow's land in Pirgachha, Rangpur.AdvertisementThe victim is identified as Maryam Begum (63). She is the daughter of the deceased Afaz Uddin of Uttar Anantaram village in Itakumari union of the upazila.

According to the complaint, Maryam, a resident of Uttar Anantram village, received 33 percent of the land through her ancestral lineage. Out of this, she sold 28 percent of the land to Bulu Master, son of Ulya, a resident of the same village. Bulu Master is trying to take possession of the remaining five percent of Maryam's land.

In her written complaint,

Maryam said that despite repeated requests to Bulu Master to hand over five percent of her land, he did not hand over the land. Instead, when she asked for the land, he used abusive language and threatened her.

Despite calling the accused Bulu Master's phone multiple times to inquire about this, he did not receive any calls.

Based on the complaint, police station ASI Ershad Mandal inspected the scene. He said, "Primary facts have been found during the inspection of the scene. A meeting will be held to resolve the matter."
