Over 200 passengers get refund for

Thirteen bus authorities have refunded over 200 passengers'

excess fares in an army operation.

A team from the Bangladesh Army's Jatrabari Army Camp conducted the operation at the Dholaipar intersection on the Dhaka-Mawa road on Wednesday night.

It is learned that the operation was conducted in the Dholaipar area from 9 pm to 1:30 am on Wednesday under the leadership of Captain SM Arif Moin and Lieutenant Arif Hisham. About 50 buses were searched in the operation. During this time,

allegations were received against several

buses of various transport companies including Shatabdi Paribahan, Kings Paribahan, Shariatpur Enterprise, Imran Travels, Hilsha Paribahan of charging more than the fare fixed by BRTA.

After the complaint was found to

be true, the excess fare collected from about 200 passengers of 13 buses was refunded. In addition, a fine of 10,000 taka was imposed on one bus for having expired route permits, fitness and tax tokens.
