in the eyes of Islam. The 9th of this month is called Yawmul Arafa or the Day of Arafa, which is considered the main day of Hajj. This day is considered an unparalleled greatness and virtue in the history of Islam.
Day of Arafah
On this special day, pilgrims from all over the world gather at the plain of Arafat. Standing there, they beg for forgiveness from the Almighty God, filling the desert with the sounds of the Labbayk, with a yearning for self-purification.
On the Day of Arafah, the tide of Allah's mercy flows with great force. On this day, Allah Almighty forgives countless sinful servants. It is narrated in the Hadith Sharif that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "On no other day are so many people released from Hell as on the Day of Arafah." On this day, Allah Almighty draws closer to the world and boasts about His servants to the angels. He says, 'What do they want?
The Hadith Sharif mentions the supplication on the Day of Arafah as the best supplication. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, "The best supplication is the supplication on the Day of Arafah. And the best supplication is the supplication that I and the Prophets before me made."
The prayer is:
La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la shareeka lahu, lahul mulku walahul hamdu, wahuwa ala kulli shay'in qadir.”
That is, “There is no god but Allah. He is the only One, He has no partner. His is the dominion, and to Him is all praise, and He is over all things powerful.”
