The Meteorological Department has issued a weather forecast for the country

on the occasion of the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha.

The weather forecast from 9 am today, Thursday, for the next 120 hours has been released through a notification.

The notification said that currently the monsoon is less active over Bangladesh and is in weak to moderate condition in the north Bay of Bengal.


According to today's weather forecast, there may be temporary gusty winds accompanied by lightning or light to moderate rain or thundershowers at some places in Rajshahi, Rangpur, Khulna and Sylhet divisions and at a few places in Dhaka, Mymensingh, Barisal and Chittagong divisions. However, day and night temperatures will remain almost unchanged across the country.


It has been informed that for tomorrow, Friday, all eight divisions of the country - Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet - may experience temporary gusty winds accompanied by lightning or light to moderate rainfall or rain with thunder at a few places. In addition, the day and night temperatures across the country may increase slightly.


Eid Day Forecast

On Saturday, the day when Eid-ul-Azha will be celebrated, the Meteorological Department has given a very positive message. Temporary lightning or light to moderate rain may occur at a few places in Chittagong, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions. However, the weather in other parts of the country will remain mainly dry and the sky will be partly cloudy. The temperature may increase slightly.


Forecast for the next three days

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely to occur in some parts of Chittagong and Sylhet divisions on Sunday . The weather is likely to remain mainly dry in other parts of the country, although the sky will be partly cloudy.
