The oneness and greatness of the Almighty Allah are being proclaimed every moment in the Talbiya of the beautiful and loud voices of the Nainas. 'I am present. O Allah! I am present. You have no partner. All praise and blessings are only Yours. The dominion is Yours. You have no partner.'

Holy Hajj today

The holy Hajj is the great gathering of the world's Muslims. Since this morning, the desert plain of Arafat in the city of Mecca, Saudi Arabia, has been filled with a miraculous and virtuous whiteness. It is white and white due to the presence of pilgrims wearing Ihram made of two pieces of white cloth. Devout Muslims have performed this holy Hajj, one of the main pillars of Islam, with a yearning for liberation from sins and self-purification.

Today, after dawn, more than 2.5 million Muslims from all over the world are arriving at the historic Arafat Maidan. Among them, the number of Bangladeshi pilgrims is more than 87,000. Today, on the main Hajj day of 9 Zilhaj, they will stay here until sunset. This year, before the Zuhr prayer at the Namira Mosque in Arafat Maidan, the renowned Khatib of the Grand Mosque and a member of the Saudi Senior Ulema Council, Dr. Shaykh Saleh bin Humaid, will deliver the holy Hajj sermon.

They will stay in the plain of Arafat until sunset,

engaged in the remembrance of Allah Almighty. Then they will leave the plain of Arafat for Muzdalifah. They will go to Muzdalifah, pray Maghrib and Isha prayers together at Isha time and stay the whole night. They will collect 70 pebbles from here to throw at the Jamarat in Mina. They will perform Fajr prayer in Muzdalifah and then leave for Mina again. After reaching Mina on the 10th of Zilhaj, the pilgrims have to complete four tasks in stages. First, the pilgrims will stand with Mina on their right and throw stones at the devil (Jamara). The second task is to sacrifice an animal for the sake of Allah. Many people who cannot make it to Mina return to Mecca and sacrifice an animal. The third stage is to shave their heads. The fourth task is to perform Tawaf-e-Ziyarat. On the 11th of Dhul-Hijjah, after spending the night in Mina, from after noon until just before sunset, the pilgrims will throw seven stones each at the greater, middle, and lesser devils. It is Sunnah to do this.
