National Eidgah in the capital at
7:30 am on Saturday (June 7), said Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Administrator Shahjahan Mia.
The main congregation for Eid
He made this information at a briefing on Eid congregations, markets and waste management on Thursday (June 5) morning.
The DSCC administrator said that the main congregation of the holy Eid-ul-Azha on Saturday (June 7) will be held at the National Eidgah on the High Court premises in the capital. However, if the weather is unfavorable, the main congregation will be held at Baitul Mukarram Mosque at 8 am.
Shahjahan Mia also said that
35,000 worshippers will be able to offer Eid prayers together at the National Eidgah this time. He also said that DSCC will remove the waste from the sacrifice within 12 hours.
Meanwhile, five congregations are scheduled to be held at Baitul Mukarram Mosque in phases. According to a press release by the Islamic Foundation , the first congregation at Baitul Mukarram will be held at 7 am and the second, third, fourth, fifth and last congregations will be held at 8 am, 9 am, 10 am and 10:45 am respectively.
