Our backs are against the wall: BCB

The recent performance of the national cricket team has not been

encouraging at all. One series loss after another,

and the country's cricket has been in a state of disarray in global tournaments. The latest T20I whitewash against Pakistan, and the previous defeats to the United States and the United Arab Emirates have left the fans still reeling.

Aminul Islam Bulbul-BCB President

Former national team captain Aminul Islam Bulbul has taken charge of the country's cricket at such a difficult time. After assuming the post of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president, his assessment of the national team has hit a wall, and now it is more important to motivate the players than criticize.

Speaking to a national daily, Bulbul said, "When the national team returns home after the Pakistan tour, we will first evaluate their performance. We will give feedback to the players and discuss where there is room for improvement. Since we play in all three formats, we will try to improve in all areas."

Regarding the national team's dismal

performance, he said, "A team's performance sometimes goes up and sometimes down. We first need to know the reason for the decline. If we know that clearly, the path to improvement will be easier."

The T20 World Cup will be held in India

and Sri Lanka next year. When asked about BCB's plans for the tournament, Aminul said, "We will try to at least go to the second round. But that will be possible if the team is organized. You have seen, we have lost to the United Arab Emirates, the United States and even Pakistan. In such a situation, our backs are against the wall. Now is the time to get excited."
