This has caused hardship to the people who are heading home. People and vehicles from 17 districts of North Bengal travel through Chandra in the upazila. Vehicles carrying animals will enter Dhaka. As a result, the pressure on the road is high.

Meanwhile, the pressure of passengers, public transport and livestock vehicles on the Dhaka-Tangail highway has doubled compared to other days. On one hand, there is traffic jam, on the other hand, vehicles are slow. In Gazipur, most of the industrial factories have declared holidays, which has increased the pressure of passengers on the highway. People heading home are suffering due to the slow movement of vehicles in the station areas. People have suffered greatly due to the rain in the afternoon.

Eid holidays were held in three phases in garment factories. Last Tuesday, 10 percent, Wednesday 40 percent and Thursday 50 percent of factories celebrated Eid holidays. Most factories have their own transportation arrangements. Those who do not have a car arrangement wait for a long time at the stations and do not get enough vehicles, so they go home for Eid in open trucks, bus roofs, pickups or other small vehicles. The affected passengers said that the transportation authorities are demanding additional fares like before.

Three-tier security measures have been

taken by the police to ensure smooth Eid journey. Four thousand police personnel are working on the highway. There are also army and BGB members. CCTV cameras have been installed throughout the Chandra area to ensure that passengers do not face any harassment at the hands of robbers, robbers, and members of the Malam Party.

Naojor Highway Police OC Saugatul Alam said that the police have taken three-tiered security measures to ensure smooth Eid procession. In addition to police personnel, army and BGB members are on duty on the highway.
