Tarique Rahman extends Eid greetings

BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has extended

his greetings to the countrymen

on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha. He made the greetings in a post on his verified Facebook page at around 7 pm on Thursday (June 5).

In that post, Tarique Rahman wrote, "On the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Adha, I extend my heartfelt greetings and congratulations to Muslims around the world, including Bangladesh. I wish them continued happiness and comfort. Eid Mubarak."

He wrote, Eid-ul-Azha means the festival of sacrifice. The main theme of this festival is sacrifice. It is said in the holy book Al-Quran, neither flesh nor blood reaches Allah, 'It is the pure desire of your heart that reaches'. The pure desire of a believing person is to gain closeness to Allah. People sacrifice animals to gain closeness to Allah. The holy Eid-ul-Azha comes every year with the great message of self-purification, self-satisfaction and self-sacrifice.

Stating that 'despite the impact of

commodity prices, social injustice and various crises, the hearts of the country's Muslim population are filled with the unquenchable joy and enthusiasm of Eid', he further said that the people of the country have gone through a difficult period of fascism for a decade and a half. After the fall of the fascist clique on August 5 last year, people will celebrate Eid-ul-Adha in a somewhat relaxed atmosphere in the country. During the fascist period, due to the illegal power greed of the evil forces of obedience, the ultimate degradation of ethics, morality, religious and social values occurred in the state and society. Now, everyone must work together to reflect the will of the people everywhere to achieve peace, harmony, improved morality and eliminate mountain-like inequality in the current changed situation. So that horrific situations like reckless looting, corruption and money laundering do not repeat.

The acting chairman of BNP wrote,

Eid-ul-Azha is the festival of sacrifice. A part of the Eid-ul-Azha festival is sacrifice. Animal sacrifice is a means of purification and purity. Sacrifice has been made essential for Muslims in line with the tradition of testing patience and faith. The spirit of sacrifice of Eid-ul-Azha creates a bond of unity, solidarity and harmony in the society. If we reflect the main lesson of sacrifice in our lives and strive for human welfare, then we will surely be able to gain the satisfaction and closeness of the Almighty Allah, the Almighty. Believers must be dedicated to that effort.

He wrote, "Eid al-Adha is the second of the two biggest religious festivals of Muslims around the world. The festival is universal, all people gather in its premises. The festival inspires people to be kind to each other."
