2 buses twisted in head-on collision

Two passenger buses collided head-on in the Tongi area of ​​the Dhaka

Mymensingh highway. At least 30 passengers,

The accident occurred on Thursday afternoon on the flyover of the BRT project in the Cheragali area of ​​the highway.

The injured have been identified as Abdur Rahim (20), Sefali (40), Majedur Rahman (32), Nurunnahar (40), Abdur Rahman (40), Tanjila Akter (30), Jasmine Akter (24) and Baker Hossain (20). The identities of the rest could not be confirmed.

Eyewitnesses said that a Dhaka

-bound Nabab Sarkar Paribahan bus and a Tangail-bound Sonia Paribahan collided head-on. The front parts of both buses were twisted and twisted. At least 30 people were injured. The injured have been admitted to various nearby hospitals. Three of the injured, including two drivers, are in critical condition.

Gazipur Metropolitan Traffic Department Deputy Commissioner Ashraful Islam said, "A stuck driver had to cut out part of the bus. Both buses have been removed from the scene. Traffic is normal on the highway."
