He made these remarks as the chief guest at a discussion meeting in Chittagong on Thursday (July 31) as part of the BNP's centrally announced 'March for Justice' program in memory of the martyrs of the July mass uprising.

The program was organized by the Nationalist Lawyers Forum at the auditorium of the Chittagong District Lawyers Association.

Gayeshwar Chandra Roy said,

"Even if a specific time is announced for the elections in the country, the fear will not go away until the results are out. The administration of the interim government in the country with the corrupt and fascist allies will never be able to complete the reforms. Even though Sheikh Hasina has fled, her allies still remain."

Senior leaders of BNP's central district were present at the event, chaired by Nationalist Lawyers Forum convener Adv. Tariq Ahmed.

Earlier, at the beginning of the discussion, a minute of silence and prayers were held in memory of the martyrs.
