Fuel prices remain unchanged in August

The government has issued a notification keeping the prices of

diesel, kerosene, petrol

and octane unchanged for the month of August.


FuelThe Department of Energy and Mineral Resources announced this information in a statement on Thursday (July 31) evening.


The notification said that the existing prices of fuel oil for the month of August have been kept unchanged. This decision has been taken in light of the automatic pricing formula in the country in line with the fluctuations in fuel oil prices in the global market.


The aim of this step is to e

nsure the supply of fuel oil at the consumer level at a relatively affordable price.


According to the decision, diesel will be sold at 102 taka per liter, kerosene at 114 taka, octane at 122 taka, and petrol at 118 taka in August.


This information was given in an order issued by the Department of Energy and Mineral Resources on Thursday, which will be effective from August 1.
