UNODC delegation meeting with IGP

Jumbangla Desk: IGP Md. A delegation from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime had a courtesy call on Moinul Islam.

UNODC South Asia Representative Marco Teixeria led a 4-member delegation at the meeting at the police headquarters on Wednesday (September 25).

During the meeting, the IGP thanked the UNODC authorities for their cooperation in various trainings of Bangladesh Police.

At this time, emphasis was placed on contemporary training and logistics cooperation at home and abroad to control increasing crime, transnational crime, organized crime, cyber crime, extremism, human trafficking, financial crime, drugs, information sharing, crisis management and public order.

During the meeting, the IGP expressed hope that the cooperation of UNODC will continue in the training of Bangladesh Police. The delegation assured to provide full cooperation in capacity building of Bangladesh Police.
