Jumbangla Desk: A motorcycle lost control and fell on the road after being hit by a battery operated autorickshaw in Mahadevpur, Naogaon. Two college students were killed.

The accident happened at Dhanzail intersection of the upazila around 7:30 pm on Sunday.

The deceased are - Sarafat Hossain (22), son of Mahmudul Hasan of Jaipur Sardarpara village of the upazila. He was a history student of Islam in Dhaka College. Ara Monirul Islam (23) is the son of Mubarak Hossain of Gonfanagar village of the same upazila. He was a student of Varendra Degree College, Shivpur.

According to local sources, Sarafata and Monirul were returning home from Naogaon city on a motorcycle around 7:30 pm. When their motorcycle reached the Dhanjail intersection of the upazila, it collided with an autorickshaw coming from the opposite direction. The motorcycle fell on the road. And they were killed on the spot.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Mahadevpur police station Hasmat Ali said that two bodies have been recovered from the spot after getting information.
