Jumba Bangla Desk: Banani police arrested 11 employees of the hotel including the manager for beating up a customer named Saleh Mohammad Rashid Alock for protesting against the rotten and smelly tikka with kacchi biryani at Star Kabab. They were arrested from Banani Star Kebab in the capital on Sunday (October 6) afternoon.

On Monday (October 7), Banani Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Russell Sarwar confirmed the matter. He said that a case has been registered in connection with the attack on a person named Saleh Mohammad Rashid Alak at Star Kabab. 11 people have already been arrested. Appropriate legal action has been taken against all. A case has been filed against four to five unidentified people. Subject to investigation, if anyone else is involved, all will be brought under the law.

The OC also said that all those arrested were sent to court on Monday. The matter is under investigation. Efforts are on to arrest others involved.

Meanwhile, the victim, Saleh Mohammad Rasheed Alock, complained that he and a friend of his went to eat at Banani Star Kebab on Sunday afternoon. At this time they are given rotten and smelly tikka with kacchi. Later he brought the matter to the attention of the hotel authorities.

When his friend complained about the smell of the food, the manager of Star Kebab told him, 'You have never eaten tikka in your life. That's how it goes.'
At one stage, when Alak protested about the matter, three other customers in the vicinity made the same complaint. Angry at this, the manager pressed the bell and gathered all the staff. At that time Saleh Alok was severely beaten by 14 to 15 people from Star Kabab. His head burst and bled. He wants a fair trial of this incident.
