has been released on bail from Kashimpur Women's Central Jail in Gazipur.

Nusrat FariaShe was released from Kashimpur Jail at around 3:30 pm on Tuesday (May 20). Earlier, Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court Judge Mostafizur Rahman granted Nusrat Faria bail on the defendant's application.

Senior Jail Superintendent of Kamishpur Women's Central Jail, Md. Kawalin Nahar, confirmed this information.

He said that Nusrat Faria's bail papers arrived at the prison around 12:15 pm on Tuesday. After verification, she was released from prison.

Iftekhar Hasan said that it was not reasonable to arrest her in a country where she was not present during the July Revolution. She (actress Faria) was in Canada from July 9 to August 14. During the student movement, she expressed her position on social media in their favor even while abroad. The court was satisfied with this and granted her bail.

It is worth mentioning that the actress

was detained by the immigration police at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Sunday afternoon (May 18) while going to Thailand . After that, Faria was arrested in a murder attempt case filed at the Bhatara Police Station of the DMP and taken to court. Later, the court ordered the actress to be sent to jail.
