NCP voices opposition to Jatiya Party, Akhtar Hossain posts warning

The political scene in Rangpur is heated after the attack on the residence

of Jatiya Party Chairman GM Quader

and the setting of a motorcycle on fire. A case has been filed in this incident, naming 22 people, including the convener of the Metropolitan Anti-Discrimination Student Movement. The party's leaders and activists have taken out a protest march demanding speedy trial for those involved.

Against the National PartyJoint forces have questioned two leaders of the anti-discrimination student movement to identify those involved in the incident.

They were interrogated by joint forces

at Payra Chattar in Rangpur city on Saturday night. Hearing this news, Sarjis Alam, the northern chief organizer of the Jatiya Nagorik Party, rushed out in the rain at around 1:30 am.

Meanwhile, Jatiya Nagorik Party (NCP) member secretary Akhtar Hossain has given a strong message to Jatiya Party leaders and activists, accusing them of inflaming the situation in Rangpur. In a post on his Facebook account on Saturday night, Akhtar said that strong resistance will be mounted against those who shelter the Jatiya Party.

Akhtar wrote in his post, " The Jatiya Party,

which has played a despicable role as an ally of Awami fascism by deceiving the people of the country, posing as a homegrown opposition party and killing democracy, is heating up the situation in Rangpur. Whoever or whoever shelters this Jatiya Party, who raises his hand against the anti-discrimination fighters as per the words of the Jatiya Party, will be strongly resisted. Long live the revolution."
