rendered the roads of Turag in the capital
impassable. The rain water has turned the main roads and side streets of the area into mud. As a result, the residents of the area are facing extreme hardship.

Locals complain that since no initiative has been taken to renovate the roads in Wards 52 and 53 of Turag for a long time, it has become a burden to travel on the roads in the area.
Mehedi Hasan, a resident of Badaldi
area of Turag, which is part of DNCC Ward No. 52, told Jugantar, "What can I say about the roads within the area? The main road from Baunia to Uludah has been in a broken state for more than a decade. Who can I tell about the difficulty we have in moving on this road? Those who were in power before did not play any role in fixing the roads in the area."
Fazle Rabbi, a resident of Ranabhola,
another area of Turag under DNCC Ward No. 53, told Jugantar, "We have been suffering for 12 years. Whenever it rains, we, the residents of Ranabhola Road No. 3, are knee-deep in water. Although renovation work is being done on the surrounding roads, for unknown reasons, only our road remains deprived of renovation."
