US-proposed nuclear deal is against
Iran's national interests, amid a sharp disagreement between Tehran and Washington over the country's continued uranium enrichment.
Negotiations on a new nuclear deal began after US President Donald Trump abandoned the deal in 2018. The US and Iran have held five rounds of talks since April. So far, no new agreement has been reached.
Iran said on Saturday that it had received some elements of the US proposal through Oman's mediation, but did not disclose details.
In a televised speech,
Khamenei said the US proposal was 100 percent contrary to the ideals of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
The uranium enrichment issue has become the most controversial aspect of the agreement.
Trump announced that his administration would not allow any uranium enrichment, but Tehran insisted that it was its right.
