Abrar drowned in a pond at his home in Baraghona area of ​​Gandamara Union around 7:30 am on Thursday.

The deceased Abrar is the son of Dubai-based expatriate Farooq Azam, a resident of Abdur Rashid Member's house in the area.

Kazi Mohib Ullah, said that on Thursday morning, child Abrar fell into the pond behind the house unnoticed. Later, family members started searching for him. At one stage, Abrar's mother saw the child floating in the pond. Later, locals rescued the child and took him to the Upazila Health Complex, where the doctor on duty declared Abrar dead.

It is learned that Abrar's family lives in Dubai. The family returned to the country a few days ago. Since then, they have been staying at their home in Dhaka. On Wednesday, on the occasion of Qurbani, they all came to their village home.
